Since 2000, Quest Ministries has been making the impossible possible for special needs youth and Purple Heart veterans through immersive experiences in God’s magnificent outdoors.
In 1999, Quest Ministries began its journey, which has since evolved into what we now call the Special Youth Challenge Hunt. This experience is far more than just a hunt; it is a transformative opportunity that brings the beauty of nature directly into the hearts and lives of special needs youth from all walks of life.
For many of these young individuals, experiencing the outdoors might have seemed out of reach due to various challenges. At Quest Ministries, we break down these barriers to offer them the chance to engage in hunting, fishing, and celebrating God's creation in a whole new way.
The Youth Challenge Hunt is a carefully designed weekend of hunting, fishing, and fellowship for these exceptional youth and their sponsors.
Quest Ministries isn't just focused on youth, though. In 2003, the Billy Ray Parnell Memorial Purple Heart Hunt was established in honor of Billy Ray Parnell, a close friend of Quest Ministries’ founder, Skipper Bettis. Billy Ray tragically gave his life in Vietnam less than a month into his first deployment.
We are deeply humbled by the men and women who have selflessly sacrificed their lives to protect our freedoms, and we honor those who bear the scars, both visible and invisible, from their service. This hunt is dedicated to these courageous individuals, offering them healing through camaraderie, community, and time spent in the breathtaking outdoors. It is a fully curated weekend of hunting, fishing, and fellowship for Purple Heart recipients and their sponsors.
Quest Ministries is also committed to creating meaningful moments in nature that foster healing, connection, and peace. With Two Hats Ranch as our setting, the Quest community of youth and veterans can enjoy a variety of outdoor experiences—from encounters with woodland fawns to intimate dinners and restful lodge weekends. Our mission is to bring healing and growth to all those we serve.
To make these life-changing experiences possible, Quest Ministries hosts an annual fundraiser to raise the funds necessary for both special needs youth and Purple Heart veterans to participate.
